Prior to joining Volumez, Amir held senior executive management positions spanning technical and business responsibilities at leading technology companies including GlobalFoundries, Intel, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments.
In his role as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Computing, Wired Infrastructure and Storage business at GlobalFoundries, one of the world’s leading semiconductor foundries, Amir was responsible for solidifying the company’s leadership position in Silicon Photonics and played a pivotal role in the company’s highly successful IPO in October of 2021. During his time at Intel, Amir served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Platform Engineering. In this role, he led the worldwide engineering teams in operational excellence efforts and implemented a new silicon development model that resulted in tens of billions of dollars in revenue across Intel’s roadmap by delivering better and more predictable product performance at scale. He also served as Senior Vice President and Director of Strategic Transactions for Intel Capital where he was responsible for building Intel’s partnership and strategic collaboration with corporate venture capital firms and identifying opportunities in emerging areas of technology, including artificial intelligence and computing with a particular focus on the vibrant startup ecosystem in Israel. Prior to joining Intel, Amir was the President of Qualcomm Atheros, a large subsidiary of Qualcomm Inc., where he managed the company’s networking, connectivity infrastructure, and the emerging Internet of Things semiconductor businesses. Amir started his corporate career at Texas Instruments where he was responsible for establishing the company’s technical and market leadership in mobile connectivity technologies such as Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS and Location, and NFC.
Amir earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Haifa University in Israel. He also holds a dual MBA degree in high technology management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Recanati Business School at Tel Aviv University.
With over 500 patents to his name, Yoni is a technology innovator and serial entrepreneur who is a recognized thought leader in the field of storage and data management.
Prior to co-founding Volumez, Yoni was Co-Founder and CTO of Storwize, a provider of real-time data compression solutions that boosted storage space in networking storage environments. Storwize was acquired by IBM in 2010. Yoni joined IBM at that time and served in senior leadership at the company for close to a decade as a Distinguished Engineer, Master Inventor and CTO of IBM Systems Israel. His revolutionary work in data storage and compression has been recognized through numerous industry awards including the coveted IBM Master Inventor Award which he was awarded twice during his tenure at IBM.
Yoni is passionate about using technology to solve complex problems and drive business success. He is excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible with Volumez and delivering innovative new solutions to customers.
Brian is a seasoned tech leader with over 15 years experience and a proven track record of scaling disruptive technologies into successful businesses.
Prior to joining Volumez, he served as Chief Technology Officer of data storage company Infinidat where he drove the company’s technology vision and strategy as it ramped from pre-revenue to market leadership. Before joining Infinidat, Brian worked in the Systems and Technology Group at IBM where he held senior roles in product management and solutions engineering focusing on distributed storage system technologies. Prior to IBM, Brian served as a technology executive at MTV Networks Viacom, and at Novus Consulting Group as a Principal in the Media & Entertainment and Banking practices.
Brian studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Rochester.
Efri brings more than 25 years of experience developing and launching highly successful industry-leading enterprise software solutions that customers love.
Prior to Volumez, Efri served as a Chief Product Officer in the Data Protection Division at Dell Technologies. In this role, he was responsible for Kubernetes and Cloud Native Data Protection, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Efri joined Dell as part of the company’s acquisition of EMC. During his time at EMC, Efri led the Product Management of EMC’s RecoverPoint product line, and was responsible for the product roadmap, and integrations with VMware and with EMC’s storage platforms and products. Prior to EMC, Efri held technical architecture and engineering roles at successful start-up companies including OpTier and Qumranet which was subsequently acquired by RedHat.
Efri received his Master of Science Degree in Computer Science and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University.
Nir brings over 20 years of experience leading globalized software engineering teams and delivering high-impact solutions to customers. Prior to Volumez, Nir served as an R&D executive at IBM where he oversaw software and hardware development for IBM’s flash storage portfolio. Nir joined IBM in 2010 through the acquisition of his previous company, Storwize. Prior to Storwize, he served in various technical leadership roles in the Aerospace and Telecommunications industries.
Nir holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from The Open University of Tel Aviv.
As a global executive with a proven track record of creating and implementing strategies that drive business and portfolio transformation, Iri has a wealth of experience in transformational leadership.
Most recently, Iri served as VP & GM of the Data Center Business for GlobalFoundries, where he transformed the company’s Data Center offerings in the storage and networking markets and led the process of developing the company’s long-term strategy that led to a successful IPO. Prior to GlobalFoundries, Iri served as SVP of Product and Market Development for Hitachi Vantara, where he was responsible for overall product strategy and execution across multiple product lines, including storage, data management, analytics, and Intelligent Edge solutions. Iri has also held senior executive positions at Samsung, Marvell, and SanDisk.
He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from IDC, Israel.
Shmuel has over 40 years of experience in technical advisory roles, and in CTO and technical executive positions with start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies.
Most recently, Shmuel was head of engineering for storage and converged at Hitachi Vantara, where he led multiple development tracks, In Cloud, Storage, IoT, Big Data, AI and Enterprise software. Shmuel Joined Hitachi Vantara through the acquisition of BlueArc, a leading provider of scalable and high-performance network storage solutions, where he was co-founder and served as CTO.
Shmuel has served in both advisory and board roles, and he currently serves as chair at the IEEE Computer Society Industry Advisory Board. Shmuel holds a BSc.EE from the Technion, Israeli Institute of Technology.
