Description

We are looking for a motivated and skilled software engineer that will take a key role in the development of our core data path, building and orchestrating a linux based storage stack. In your role you will be solving complicated linux kernel issues and thus allowing volumez to provide the best storage solution in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Locate performance bottlenecks within Linux drivers as well as other components and suggest/implement enhancements to meet target performance goals
  • Contribute to the linux kernel community to commit new features and fixes
  • Provide architectural guidance and fresh ideas how to tackle kernel problems
  • Add new features and operations to our data – path.

Requirements:

  • BA or BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable experience
  • +2 years experience in linux device driver development – advantage to block devices
  • +4 years experience in C coding language and software development
  • Familiar with enterprise linux distros (red hat, ubuntu etc)
  • Experience in kernel research while understanding linux internals and subsystems (Memory, IO, storage etc)
  • Fast learner and a team player
  • Innovative person with excellent problem-solving skills

Job Description

We are Seeking for a highly skilled Senior ML engineer with exceptional expertise in advanced AI and distributed computing. In this role you will be take part in designing a storage solution that will improve training workloads by eliminating data stalls. This role is crucial for leading our efforts in processing and interpreting large-scale, high-dimensional datasets using state-of-the-art AI techniques and distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Distributed Computing Leadership: Architect and manage sophisticated distributed computing systems capable of training complex models.
  • Cutting-edge Data Pipeline Architecture: Design and implement robust data management and processing pipelines for large and complex datasets, utilizing advanced techniques to handle data sizes exceeding traditional memory capacities, with a focus on volumetric and high-dimensional data.
  • Advanced Model Expertise: Optimize advanced machine learning models, and computer vision models by improving the data preparation pipelines.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Serve as a pivotal link between the research, engineering, and product teams, ensuring the seamless translation of complex AI models, into scalable, production-level solutions that meet the needs of diverse applications.
  • Research Contribution and Visibility: Lead initiatives that significantly advance the field of AI, with a particular emphasis on volumetric data analysis and model optimization, culminating in publications in leading journals, patents, and presentations at premier international conferences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years as a ML engineer / Deep learning engineer / software engineer with expertise in ML and AI.
  • Minimum of 2 years in software engineering with Python.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least one of the following AI frameworks: PyTorch / TensorFlow / Keras.
  • Experience working with GPU in distributed training.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Big Data platforms such as PySpark, Ray, Dask.
